“And the next song is Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to heaven,” said the voice from the radio. The man on the passenger seat of the car turned down the volume on the stereo and the driver pushed his feet forward on the accelerator. “How much do you think that junk costs?” asked the passenger.
“It’s no junk my boy, it’s a limited edition, a pure leather, a first piece only for our highness,” the driver replied. “Now just shut your face and let’s do our job. Our highness must be wai….”
The blue Mustang came to a screeching halt. Both men jerked forward and then their backs slapped against the cushioned seats.
“It was a rabbit,” said the passenger regaining his posture.
“It was something bigger,” said the driver with a crack in his voice.
“No yo, it was a white rabbit.”
“It’s a animal alright.”
The driver clearly disappointed in himself turned off the ignition.
“Let it go man, no one’s around, and your highness was expecting her bag an hour ago,” the passenger said.
Both men sitting behind the closed windows of the Mustang deliberated on their actions. After a brief pause, the car took off.
The animal was left bleeding red but the animal was alive.
Cut.
"Anything else? It's the last order sir," the server said. I looked up and around. There was no one in this big ass diner, except me. So, I asked him to bring me the check instead. I paid and left, it was a long walk home through this deserted land. My body would be the only one walking on the streets of Los Angeles at this late hour, I thought. The cold steady breeze caressed my face; this invisible wind was my only companion.
As I walked, the lonelier it got. The only solace was the diner, which was moving further away from me. Then I stopped and looked behind, the word Diner was glowing in red neon, the large windows gave a view of no one sitting inside. However even from this distance I could see the indoor white light, the baby blue walls and the top of the long, navy blue booths. It looked beautiful in its full frame. There was a strong desire to capture this secluded joint. If only I had my camera.
There are two phases to a movie. First you shoot the movie & then you make the movie, this is where I make it happen!
