“Ideas are not meant for the closet and experiences are for sharing. It took time

but I learned this after meeting people from diverse backgrounds and countries.

This is the best part about being a filmmaker. You get to work on different ideas,

you go to a new workplace each time and there is always someone who inspires

you as you are making it.”

Anish Dedhia is a director, writer, producer born in Mumbai, India.

 He started writing and developing ideas that interested him and

his passion to be a filmmaker took him 8000 miles to Los Angeles where he

graduated from New York Film Academy.

Chypre was his very first film that was recognized at over 15 film festivals

all over the globe. Anish has established himself even in the world of advertising,

by directing commercials.

He has worked in Los Angeles, Mumbai, Japan, Sweden, Portugal and Finland. Recently

Anish has ventured in 360 / Virtual Reality storytelling and directing. Happy in

Helsinki is one such project that made use of this new technology and was in

news in Finland, which was covered by MTV –  Finland’s

biggest broadcasting TV channel.

Other than films, Anish is a professional poker player. He loves

avocados and is a vegetarian.
